External Wall Insulation

Properties built before the 1930s have ‘solid brick’ walls instead of ‘cavity’ walls. This single brick layer lets a huge amount of heat escape, in fact, twice as much heat escapes through an uninsulated solid brick wall than through an unfilled cavity wall. External wall insulation has been developed to improve the energy efficiency of existing buildings, particularly solid wall or "hard to treat" homes that are not able to benefit from cavity wall Insulation, through the application of rigid insulation to the external wall surfaces. The insulation is then reinforced and finished with a weatherproof render.

Acting as a 'thermal jacket' around a property, our systems are Energy Saving Trust (EST) approved and are installed by our specialist applicators throughout the UK.

APR work closely with leading manufacturers of EWI systems. Please call with any enquiries.
